Student Numbers Grow as Varsity Admits New Students

zetech-university-admits-studentsIt was excitement galore as new students checked into Zetech University for an enlightening orientation day. These sessions are crafted to welcome students to their new campus and furnish them with all the necessary information they require, to enjoy a fulfilling campus experience.

This semester, the varsity’s student numbers grew, communicating the institution’s commitment to the delivery of quality education and the increase of the programmes offered.

The students, who were enrolled during the May Intake self-sponsored programme, arrived early at the University main Campus to have their documents verified and access all the information required to successfully go undertake their university education.
Ushering in the new students, the Varsity Registrar in charge of Academics Moses Maina noted the significance of such forums in ensuring students make the most of their learning experience, “Information, as they say, is power. We are keen on such engagements as they educate students and their guardians on services provided and allow them to get clarity on issues such as training, accommodation, talent development and other student affairs.” Moses said.

During the event, Faculty Heads and Campus Directors took time to provide information on their specific roles and encouraged the trainees to reach out to them for assistance during their campus journey. Moreover, the student council, Zetech University Students Association (ZUSA) represented the current students and highlighted the critical role of the council in communicating the students’ needs to the university administration.

“Welcome to Zetech University. As the student council, we are committed to representing you and ensuring your needs are sorted out by the management. At Zetech, we encourage dialogue when communicating issues and look forward to your support.” said Eugene Odhiambo, Chairman, ZUSA.

In addition, different administration department representatives made presentations on key areas such as fees payment, examinations, student affairs and discipline, among others, to the eager first years and their parents and allowed them to seek clarification on sensitive matters.

The Varsity looks forward to hosting a similar event for government sponsored students recently placed by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) who are currently reporting from different parts of the Country, on 10th May 2018.
