Ceremonious launch of the Zetech Catholic Action
Invent your future is the motto at Zetech University and we appreciate the role culture and religion plays in achieving this objective. At Zetech, there are various religions and denomination represented to ensure students find their most comfortable fit and are able to grow spiritually during these important years of their lives.
The University’s Catholic student fraternity, formed early this year celebrated their long awaited launch that was a special occasion graced by the Management including Vice Chancellor Professor Njenga Munene and DVC, Academics, Research, Extension and Student Affairs Dr. Alice Njuguna; additionally, the Zetech Christian Union(ZECU) and The Seventh Day Adventists Club (SDA) also graced the event.
Promoting the values advocated by the catholic doctrine is the main agenda of this Club that kicked off the event started with a word of God from Father Julius Morara from the St. Peter Kwihota prayer house who also shared a word to encourage the congregation. Presentations from ZECU, SDA and ZCA followed as the captivated audience enjoyed the launch.
The ZCA is chaired by Brian Magige, who was quick to appreciate his team, Patron Veronicah Kamau and the University leadership for ensuring the Club effectively achieved its objective, “My team and I are grateful that we were able to have the Club launched and officially recognised in the University. I wish to thank God for making all this possible, the VC and his team for making time to be part of this great day and we look forward to more engagement as in upcoming initiatives.” said Brian.
The invited guests were briefed on the achievements of the growing Club and upcoming activities that include community outreach as ZCA challenges the Zetech fraternity to do more in the community and preach peace.
The highlight was when the VC officially announced the Catholic Action Club as a recognized club in line with to the policies of the institution amid cheers from guests who thereafter shared a delicious meal to mark the end of a successful event.
Other members of the ZCA leadership are: Rostondop Wanjiru Vice-Chair, Organizing Secretary Petronila Nicholas, Secretary George Kinyua and Treasurer Josephine Wanjiku.
