In 2022, Zetech was granted a full charter by the President of Kenya to operate as a University. Since then the institution has expanded its degree programs to at least 18 degree courses.
Presently the institution has five schools: The School of Health Sciences, the Zetech School of Laws (LL.B), the School of Education, Arts and Social Sciences, School of Business and Economics, and the School of ICT, Media and Engineering.
Here’s a breakdown of the degree programs offered under each school:
a). Zetech School of Education, Arts, and Social Sciences

All our degree programmes are accredited by the Commission for University Education (CUE). Our degree in nursing is accredited by both the CUE and the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK). Our degree in Law program is also accredited by CUE and Council of Legal Education (CLE). Moreover, Zetech University is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution.
Zetech is also an accredited ODEL (Open Distance and eLearning) Center. Zetech was the first University in Kenya to be accredited to offer education programs online. Students can take most of our degree programs either online full-time or part-time (from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.).
Qualifications
If you are interested in pursuing a degree course here at Zetech University, you must meet the academic qualifications for the program of interest. For instance, for the degree in nursing, an applicant must have at least a mean grade of C+, a C+ in English or Kiswahili, a C+ in mathematics or physics, and a C+ in Chemistry or Biology.
If you wish to study law, you should also have a mean grade of C+, with a minimum grade of B plain in English or Kiswahili.
The degree in journalism and the degree in media and digital communication both require a mean grade of C+ and a minimum of C plain in English or Kiswahili.
The ICT degree programmes require at least a mean grade of C+ and a minimum of C plain in mathematics, English or Kiswahili. However, the degree in Computer Science requires a C in mathematics and physics.
The Bachelors in Business Administration and Management, Bachelors in Purchasing and Supply Chain management, Bachelor of International Relations and Diplomacy require a mean grade of C+.
Those interested in accounts should have a mean grade of C+ and a minimum of C in mathematics, and business.
For Bachelor of Education Science, applicants should have a mean grade of C+, a minimum of C+ (plus) in any of the two teaching subjects, C (Plain) in mathematics and English, and at least a C in any science subject at the KCSE level for the Physical Education combination. The Bachelor of Education Arts on the other hand requires a mean grade of C+ and C+ In Subjects of Specialization.
The school also considers KACE (Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education) certificates. If you have a diploma in the field of the degree program that you would like to pursue, you can progress with us. Diploma holders start from second year, first semester.
Accommodation
Zetech University has hostels available for students, but they are on demand, so students have to make a booking, prior to reporting. Our hostels cost Ksh. 30,000 per semester (a semester is usually three and a half months). This cost includes breakfast and supper.
Finance
Zetech has a flexible payment plan of 40% 40% 20%. This means that a student can report with at least 40% of the total fee for that semester paid. The first week of the next month the learner is expected to top up the fee, so that before they sit for exams they have 20% to clear.
Let’s say for instance, you are interested in a degree in hospitality management. The total fee for semester 1 is: Ksh. 80,400. You can report with at least 40% of ksh. 80,400, that is ksh. 32,160. The next month you top up the same (Ksh. 32,160). Before you sit for exams you have ksh.16,080 to clear.
The institution supports students with a work-study program and there is a Sports scholarship as well for those who are talented in sports.

You can apply for a degree course at any time of the year.The University has three intakes for undergraduate programmes: January, May, and September each year. For Law and Nursing, the intakes are in September only.
