Did you know that in today’s information driven society access to knowledge increasingly relies on ICT to keep up with current developments? The Huawei Competition programme has emerged as a leading global talent exchange programme for university and college students focused on advancing fields such as Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, and Networking among university students.
Over the years, Zetech University, best known for its strong focus on technology and innovation, has continued to position itself as a hub for nurturing digital talent and industry-ready graduates. This year, our School of ICT, Media and Engineering students took part in the Huawei ICT 2026 competition and emerged among the top performers across the various challenge categories.
Among the student entries was Enterprise Linux Administration with openEuler, a solution that offers a scalable, hands-on training approach integrating Huawei Cloud and openEuler technologies. OpenEuler is an open-source, enterprise-grade Linux operating system designed for modern computing environments, including cloud and edge platforms. It aims to provide a secure, high-performance foundation for running critical services, making it highly relevant for training students in system administration, cybersecurity, and cloud deployment.
Such experiences and challenges strengthen critical technical competencies, problem solving ability, and teamwork, while also building confidence in handling industry level tools and systems among students. #InventingTheFuture
