Magic of Service at Zetech University
Zetech University was privileged to celebrate the 2019 global Customer service week in style from 7th to 11th October, at all campuses. The eventful week was characterised by service-based activities and exchange programmes among staff with the Vice Chancellor Professor Njenga Munene taking the lead by serving at the Students’ Accounts desks in receiving and receipting their accounts.
The annually celebrated customer week is aimed at promoting customer satisfaction by going the extra mile in enhancing customer satisfaction and build loyalty.
Commenting on the success of the initiative, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Research and Student Affairs Dr. Alice Njuguna, who took the time to serve students at the library, appreciated the Zetech family for such a fruitful initiative. “As a University, we are proud to walk with our clients throughout their campus journey. We are committed to listening to our customers and offering them the best service,” said Dr. Njuguna.
A Special Treat
Packed with fun and productive activities games, competitions and awards including branded merchandise, free airtime, branded t-shirts, notebooks, tickets to the Zetech Furnace play Red Baron, and many more, the University crowned the initiative with a surprise campus visit by IT student Dolphine Odira’s parents George Okoth Odira and Elizabeth Adhiambo Odira. The surprise was an unforgettable experience for them as they enjoyed special sessions with the DVC Academics and other Deans.
Mr. Odira’s family who were received by Dr. Alice Njuguna and Executive Director Corporate Affairs Mr. Moses Maina, got the opportunity to interact with staff as they received briefings on the operation of the University at different levels.
Thankful to Zetech for the noble move in appreciating parents, the Odiras enjoyed getting updated on their daughter’s progress even as they learned about the different achievements the institution has marked, including the recent launch of the Zetech Innovation Hub.
“We are very happy and amazed by this University. We are grateful to Zetech for the rare opportunity as the parents selected to enjoy this special treat this year. You have challenged us to know that our roles go beyond paying fees and awaiting graduation; we must support Dolphine and encourage her to make the most of her Zetech experience. I am impressed by the warm reception with which you received us and value on parents as well as students.” said Mr. Odira.
In Your Shoes
With Dean School of Business and Economics Prof. Peter Kibas and Placement and Counseling Officer Wilkister Juma serving cheerfully at the main campus security desk, the staff was charged to experience what every support staff goes through in their daily service to students in the staff exchange programme In your shoes.
To crown the memorable week, the institution had a fun cake cutting session dubbed “Zetech Values You” to appreciate the Zetech family through the delicious cake.
The University’s key mandates remain to offer quality education and extracurricular engagement in helping each student to invent their future. This is done to ensure every student graduates in time for a 100 percent transition within the stipulated time.
