Special orientation held for Government Sponsored Students
Early this month, the Zetech University fraternity was amazed by the large number of State-sponsored students who gathered for orientation at the University Thika Road Campus. Hundreds of students from all over the country joined the institution for the ongoing intake, following placement in various degree programmes.
Accompanied by parents and guardians, the new learners could not hide their joy in being admitted to their campus of choice. The University Management board representatives, staff members and lecturers who were present to welcome the students shared with them on the University’s expectations with the programme Heads of Departments advising them on various opportunities available in each course.
During the session, a few students shared their excitement, with a number of them thrilled to join Zetech after watching the advertisement on popular TV channel Citizen TV.
Mary Emmaculate Mukuhi who has enrolled for a Bachelor of Education Arts, said, “A friend of mine from a different university advised me to join Zetech. She told me that Zetech has the best discipline and the fact that they have a dress code is a plus. I have personally loved the approach of the students and staff, they are very friendly.”
Speaking to the students, Registrar Academic, Mr. Peter Osumba, said, “We are excited to welcome you all as you begin to invent your future here at Zetech. We assure you of access to quality education and a variety of opportunities to grow your life skills.”
The event also saw the trainees treated to an epic presentation by the University drama club Zetech Furnace Club as they enjoyed refreshments served by the student leaders.
As the students settle in, our advice is, ‘Always remember that you are the pioneer of your dreams. Get involved in the various activities offered, explore the range of clubs and make the most of your Zetech Experience.’
