University Excited to Start 2019 Right

It’s a new year and we are excited at Zetech University as we remain committed to providing the best education to thousands of students from Kenya and beyond. At the start of January 2019, the University environment was characterized by the admission of new students and various engagements where we interacted with the students and their guardians as we prepared them for their new life on campus. Additionally, current students reported back on 7th January and the complex was busy as they planned their calendars to take their classes.

This year, we have many students who recently completed their KCSE and are eager to start university education, following the release of results in December 2018. This past year, the Ministry of Education reported that 90,377 students scored C+ and above to qualify for degree programmes, 13.77 per cent of the 660,204 candidates who sat the examination. 567,827 candidates – an equivalent of 86.23 per cent, will have to seek admission in diploma, certificate and artisan programmes available in the country.

To meet this demand, Zetech opened its doors to qualified students, empowering them to gain admission in the courses they desire to pursue and provide them with an unforgettable learning experience. University Vice Chancellor Prof. Njenga Munene noted that admission of students picked well and the academics and administrative teams are thrilled to ensure students settle in well and start learning.

“A new semester is an exciting time for students and staff and we are grateful to everyone who has chosen to study at Zetech University. Our commitment is to provide quality education and an enriching Zetech experience to students admitted in all our programmes.” said Prof. Munene. He added that the beauty about higher education is that campus is a pool of vibrant, excellent and interactive students who grow together, with a favorable environment for academic excellence, research, entrepreneurship and talent development.

To enable the new learners to start on a high, Zetech held an orientation event where learners got to interact with their fellow students, as well as chat with lecturers and heads of department to effectively prepare them for campus. Thereafter, we will hold our Vice Chancellor’s matriculation to ascertain the admission of all our new students.
