Varsity Kicks off new Semester

The year has started in style and the Zetech University fraternity is excited to admit new students for the January 2020 intake. The 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results that saw a total of 697,222 candidates sit for the examination generated a greater demand for quality education in the country.

With this in mind, the University has set up processes and plans to admit qualified students and provide for them a superior learning environment to pursue their academic dreams and build lasting relationships.

Commenting on the new semester, University VC Prof. Njenga Munene called on Kenyans to challenge students to enroll for higher education, with regard to their KCSE qualification.“This is always an exciting time for institutions of higher learning as we get to enroll learners from various backgrounds who are eager to learn, grow and excel. So far, we already have numbers admitted for the January intake for our various certificate, diploma and degree programmes as we extend the admission opening to those who wish to join us this week.” said Prof Munene. He was quick to remind students and parents should on the University’s academic progression that caters to those who attained a D+ and below, from the Artisan level to the Degree level.

Resuming Classes

While the University welcomes the new learners, the ongoing students will be expected back in class on Monday, 13th January with Faculty already ready to teach. As per the academic policy, teaching will commence on the first day and all students are expected to attend at least 75% of their classes to progress to the next level.

“We are committed to providing quality learning to students and our staff is ready to teach on day one. This policy extends to students who are expected to be present from the first day in order to get value for their investment at Zetech.” said Dr. Alice Njuguna, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Research, Extension and Student Affairs. Dr. Njuguna also noted that the Student Affairs arm of the University has started planning for various extracurricular activities to ensure students have a rich Zetech experience this semester.

We look forward to a great year ahead.
