Varsity receives automatic dispensers to combat Covid-19
Zetech University this past week played host to a delegation from Euro Corporate Limited led by the CEO Antony Waweru Muiruri, receiving a generous donation of automatic dispensers, fumigation chemicals and hazards suites to enhance efforts to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The organization as a key service provider to the University launched the initiative as a measure to keep everyone safe from the fast-spreading virus that has affected more than 20000 people in Kenya, and over 28 million worldwide.
Commenting on the drive, Euro Corporate CEO Mr. Waweru Muiruru appreciated the University for their continuous support and collaborating with the firm to protect Kenyans. “I am delighted to be part of this journey and I am grateful to Zetech for allowing us to do what we can in enhancing prevention; together, we shall overcome this pandemic,” he said.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the University, Ms. Loise Kaburu, the Chief Operations Officer commended the team for the thoughtful decision at such a time that will boost measures taken to safeguard the University community.
As she challenged Kenyans to take the necessary precautions, she said, “I wish to appreciate the donation made by Euro Corporate that will support our efforts as we endeavour to be on the front line of recording zero rates of the spread of the virus. Indeed, we must partner in fighting this pandemic.” Ms Kaburu added that Zetech has ensured students continue with their degrees, diplomas and certificates through a robust online learning programme.
Appreciating the firm for the support, Thika Road Campus Director Ms Monica Mburu noted that the University will make good use of the equipment and will fix them at all the front officers and entrance points, as the institution observes the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health in prevention of COVID-19.
