Varsity receives donation to enhance research
In an effort to boost the University Library department and enhance research endeavours, Zetech received a donation of books from Centre for Innovative Leadership and Governance (CLIG) Africa, a foundation launched by celebrated leader and educationist Professor Olive Mugenda.
This is in line with the University’s vision to train students to become leaders through academics and research and build a strong reading culture among faculty and students.
In a ceremony held at the institution’s Thika Road campus, Vice Chancellor
Prof. Njenga Munene hosted a team from CLIG Africa who shared details on the book Research Methods, Quantitative and Qualitative Approaches by Prof. Olive .M. Mugenda and Abel .G. Mugenda.
Prof. Munene appreciated CLIG for the determination to empower lives through educational material and for going the extra mile to enhance the Zetech Library collection. “We are immensely grateful to Prof. Mugenda and her team for investing in research training through such informational texts while building a robust study culture in the Country.” said Prof. Munene.
He added that the Research Methods books have already been incorporated in the Library catalogues as the Institution prepares for a Sustainability innovations Conference planned to September this year that will look at how best to advance Kenya’s sustainability agenda.
Representing CLIG Africa, Stanley Kinoti and Kelvin Mwangi expressed their appreciation at the University’s endevours to collaborate with like-minded partners to boost the academic experience and enrich research resources available at the Library.
