Zetech boosts academic program portfolio, admits more PhD lecturers
Zetech University has embarked on an aggressive campaign to enhance service provision to its growing student base, as it admits students for the January and May 2021 intakes . The University that seeks to produce market-ready graduates in the areas of IT, business, media, hospitality and tourism, health systems, education and social studies, has invested in the launch of additional programs and trained faculty to meet increased demand for quality higher education.
In January this year, the University launched a new academic program in Film and TV production to meet the rising demand for the course among Kenyans. The program to be offered through face to face and online blended learning, seeks to address the needs of film, communications and media professionals and empower them to competently participate in the film industry. Moreover, the University is on the brink of launching a Master of Business Administration program, kicking off admissions for postgraduate courses.
Additionally, the University has boosted its faculty to incorporate additional lecturers with requisite PhD qualifications in the School of Business and Economics erikalust, and Department of Education, Arts and Social Sciences, in response to the rising need for lecturers with doctorate degrees in the country. According to Vice Chancellor Prof. Njenga Munene, continuous improvement is necessary for students to benefit from a rich campus experience.
“As a leading private University in Kenya, we are keen on training and equipping future leaders, who are innovative, forward-thinking and able to navigate the different industries they desire to join. To achieve this, we are investing in additional faculty members who have doctorate qualifications and academic programs to serve our growing student base.” Prof Munene said, adding that the University is expecting visiting faculty from the US and other countries to boost academic training, research and innovation.
Moreover, the University continues to ensure students are exposed to extracurricular activities to complement their studies.
