Zetech University Expands Course Portfolio,Launches New Degree Programmes
In an effort to better prepare students for careers in the growing Diplomacy and Economics sectors, Zetech University received approval by the Commission for University Education to offer two new Bachelor Degree programmes.
The University has added Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy (BIRD) and the Bachelor of Economics and Statistics (BES)courses to its Degree offerings, as it expands its undergraduate programme portfolio to meet the demand for quality higher education in the Country.
The achievement signifies the commitment of the institution to equip graduates with the requisite training for a rewarding career in the Business and Diplomacy industries as well as contribute to enhancing the development of human resource for the Country.
Commenting on the milestone, Prof. Njenga Munene, Vice Chancellor, Zetech University noted that the launch of the programme comes in the wake of increased demand for training in the IR and Economics world and the University is eager to produce competent professionals who can positively impact the world,
“The Zetech University Council and Management Board is proud of this achievement and the role it will play in satisfying the demand for skilled and highly trained personnel in the Economics and IR sectors,” said Prof. Munene, adding, “we are grateful to the Commission for Higher Education (CUE) and the Ministry of Education for supporting us in our endeavor to educate students from Kenya and beyond.”
Echoing the VC’s comments,Dr. Alice Njuguna, Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academics, Research, Extension and Student Affairs at the institution noted that the process of preparation and approval was intense but rewarding. She further highlighted that the curricula for the courses has been developed with significant contribution from the Varsity academic division and relevant industry players,
“The launch of these programmes is a testament to the growth of the University andwe have worked hard to ensure we put together content that is current, experiential and of the highest standards. We believe they will attract a large number of learners and our faculty is equipped to offer quality training to those who register for the courses.”said Dr. Njuguna.
The enrollment is ongoing and training is set to start this September.
