Programme Goal

The goal of this programme is to produce competent graduates who will be innovative change makers in their occupations in their areas of specialisation in management. This includes identifying, creating, assessing, shaping, and decisively acting on opportunities in a variety of contexts and organisations while in cognisance of sustaining social, environmental and economic value.

It provides specialisation areas in:

  • Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology.
  • Financial Management and Investment.
  • Human Resource Management.
  • Strategic Management.
  • Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.

Duration of the programme

Two (2) academic years organised into four (4) semesters.

 Minimum Entry Requirements

Holder of the following shall be eligible for admission into the University’s postgraduate programmes:

  1. Any individual with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and must have obtained an upper second or equivalent pass. Or
  2. Individuals with a Bachelor’s Degree - Second Class honors Lower Division or pass at undergraduate degree and have worked for at least 2 years.

 Learning Outcomes

By the end of the programme, learner should be able to:

  1. Apply the skills and knowledge acquired in competently managing organisations.
  2. Demonstrate management evidence based advisory services.
  3. Apply the key concepts, theories and methods that underpin business and management research and practice.
  4. Distinguish between the following principal disciplines; strategic management, accountancy and finance, economics and human resource management.
  5. Apply analytical skills in research methods and the coursing and manipulation of business data.
  6. Evaluate how current trends in the external environment are impacting on international businesses.
