In a continued effort to bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical industry application, engineering students from Zetech Business Technical Institute (ZBTI) – TVET Centre recently undertook an intensive industrial visit to Centurion Systems Limited, a leading firm in industrial automation and motion control in Kenya. This experiential learning opportunity offered students first hand exposure to cutting-edge technologies and processes used in the automation sector, including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), robotics, and pneumatics.
The practical training session was designed to not only reinforce the students’ technical understanding but also to align their competencies with the demands of the modern engineering industry. Under the expert supervision of seasoned engineers at Centurion Systems Limited, the students had the opportunity to engage directly with real-world systems, observe live operational processes, and participate in hands-on demonstrations.
This initiative is part of Zetech University’s broader mission to cultivate industry-relevant skills through strategic academic-industry partnerships. By embedding real-world exposure into the academic journey, ZBTI-TVET centre continues to empower its students with the practical knowledge and confidence needed to thrive in today’s dynamic technological landscape. The University remains committed to nurturing future engineers who are equipped to innovate and lead in their respective fields.
