Students from the School of Business and Economics at Zetech University recently had the invaluable opportunity to visit Odoo Company, a globally recognised leader in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions. The academic tour, organised as part of the University’s commitment to experiential and career-focused education, provided students with a practical understanding of how ERP systems enhance business performance.

One of the key components of the visit was the interactive, hands-on session where students designed and published sample business websites using Odoo’s user-friendly website builder. They also observed live demonstrations of various ERP modules, gaining practical insights into how these systems function across different business operations. The experience was further enhanced by a website design competition featuring nineteen student groups, who demonstrated creativity and technical proficiency in applying ERP solutions. The top three teams received special recognition and awards for their efforts. Through meaningful engagement with departmental heads and staff, students were also exposed to the practical realities of ERP implementation and discovered potential career and entrepreneurial pathways within the ERP ecosystem.

To strengthen this strategic collaboration, Odoo expressed a strong interest in deepening its partnership with Zetech University through a range of joint initiatives, including guest-led workshops, integration of ERP content into the academic curriculum, and industry-recognised certification programmes. These opportunities are designed to equip students with practical skills and credentials that enhance both employability and entrepreneurial potential. Notably, top-performing students may qualify for an exclusive visit to Odoo’s global headquarters in Belgium, providing valuable international exposure to ERP best practices within a global business environment.

This engagement reaffirmed Zetech University’s dedication to nurturing innovative, industry-ready, and globally competitive graduates.
