Zetech University successfully hosted a Grant and Manuscript Writing Workshop on February 19–20, 2025, at the Technology Park Mang’u Campus. Organised by the Office of the Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Postgraduate Studies, the event brought together faculty, researchers, and students to strengthen their skills in grant proposal writing and academic publishing.

The two-day workshop was designed to equip participants with practical knowledge essential for securing research funding and successfully publishing their work. The first day focused on the fundamentals of grant writing, covering key aspects such as identifying funding opportunities, structuring proposals effectively, and understanding funders’ priorities. Attendees engaged in hands-on exercises, including analysing real grant calls and drafting proposals, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the grant application process.

The second day shifted focus to manuscript writing, where participants explored strategies for selecting suitable journals, structuring compelling research articles, and navigating the publishing process. Experts from various academic disciplines provided invaluable guidance on research dissemination, emphasising best practices for increasing the visibility and impact of scholarly work. An interactive session allowed participants to refine their manuscripts and thesis documents with expert feedback, ensuring they were well-prepared for publication.

The workshop fostered a collaborative learning environment, equipping participants with vital resources to advance their research careers. By offering such initiatives, Zetech University continues to strengthen its commitment to research excellence, innovation, and academic growth. The university remains dedicated to supporting scholars in securing funding and disseminating impactful research, contributing to the global body of knowledge.
