Zetech University’s E-sports team, the Appex Predators, emerged triumphant at the Kenya University Esports Rankings (KUER) Season 2 finals. The team secured the top position in the Call of Duty: Mobile category, bringing home a coveted trophy and cementing their place as one of the leading university E-sports teams in the country.
The event marked the conclusion of KUER Season 2, a major step up from its inaugural season which was conducted entirely online. This year’s tournament drew participation from several top institutions, including USIU-Africa, Mount Kenya University, Kenyatta University, Technical University of Kenya, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, and University of Eldoret — whose effort to travel to Nairobi was applauded as a testament to the passion fuelling the growth of university E-sports in Kenya.
The finals were hosted by KCA University, whose support and hospitality enabled a vibrant and competitive atmosphere for gamers to showcase their talents.
Speaking after the win, the Appex Predators team captain celebrated the victory as a reflection of the team’s dedication, strategy, and teamwork:
