In today’s fast-evolving digital economy, the conversation around software development has shifted. It is no longer enough to simply build applications. Institutions and organisations are now focused on building software that is reliable, secure, scalable, and user-centered. Industry research continues to show that quality assurance and testing are among the most critical stages in the software development lifecycle, directly influencing product performance and customer trust.
On Friday 20th February 2026, Zetech University ITeCH Club students launched the Software Testing Club at Technology Park Mang'u Campus, with the core aim of bringing together student innovators to challenge one another in the implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of software solutions.
The club provides members with hands-on exposure to software testing methodologies, industry-standard tools, and emerging career opportunities in quality assurance.
Through interactive demonstrations and practical exercises, students learn to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios, gaining insight into how structured testing processes enhance software reliability, efficiency, and security. This experience strengthens both technical skills and professional readiness, equipping students to navigate complex software development challenges confidently.
Industry experts from Kiwami Tech Solutions Ltd supported the launch by mentoring students on professional testing environments, global standards, and best practices in quality assurance.
The launch reflects Zetech University’s commitment to experiential learning and industry collaboration. By fostering student-led innovation and providing access to professional mentorship, the University continues to position itself as a hub for technology excellence and a platform for producing graduates who are ready to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving digital economy.
