Zetech University is proud to have been part of the 10th Africa Aquatics Zone III Swimming Championships, held from 16th to 19th October 2025 at the Kasarani Aquatic Arena, Nairobi. The international event brought together talented swimmers from 10 African nations — Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia, Nigeria, Sudan, Benin, and Eritrea — showcasing exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The highly competitive championships saw Uganda emerge as the overall champions, with Kenya finishing as runners-up, marking a strong showing for the host nation. The event provided a valuable platform for nurturing young African swimmers while promoting unity, resilience, and excellence in sports across the continent.
As the only university sponsor, Zetech University reaffirmed its commitment to supporting youth talent, sports development, and international collaboration. Through this partnership, the University continues to advance its mission of inventing the future by empowering students and communities through education, innovation, and athletics.
Speaking at the event, Zetech University representatives commended the organisers and participants for their dedication and highlighted the importance of sports as a unifying force that inspires discipline and excellence.
“We are honoured to support an event that not only celebrates athletic achievement but also brings Africa together through youth and talent. At Zetech, we believe in holistic education — where academics, innovation, and sports go hand in hand,” said a Zetech University spokesperson.
The championship was organised by Kenya Aquatics in collaboration with Africa Aquatics, with support from World Aquatics, Uganda Aquatics, and other regional federations. The event was graced by the President of Africa Aquatics, Mohamed Dior, who lauded the athletes and organisers for their outstanding performance and continental unity.
As the curtain fell on the Nairobi edition, it was announced that the 11th Africa Aquatics Zone III Championships will be held in Kampala, Uganda, in 2026 — a testament to the growing regional collaboration and passion for aquatics sports in Africa.
Zetech University’s partnership in this continental event underscores its growing influence as a leading institution championing education, innovation, sponsorships and sports development in Kenya and across Africa.
