Zetech University continues to make global strides as one of its students takes on a top international leadership role.
John Kyalo Wanza, a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy student at Zetech University, has been elected as the Member Committee Vice President (MCVP) for Outgoing Exchange (oGX) for International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences (AIESEC) in Mongolia for the 2025/2026 term. This announcement was made during the recently concluded AIESEC International Congress 2025 held in Sri Lanka, where student leaders from across the world gathered to shape the future of youth leadership and global impact.
AIESEC, the world’s largest youth-run organisation, empowers young people to develop leadership through cross-cultural exchange programmes, volunteerism, and internships. As MCVP oGX, John will be in charge of managing Mongolia’s global youth exchange portfolio, coordinating outbound exchange programmes, and representing Zetech University on the global AIESEC platform.
This is a competitive and elected position, open to candidates from all over the world who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential, cultural intelligence, and a commitment to international development. John's appointment reflects not only his personal capabilities but also the rising influence of Zetech University on the global stage.
“Representing Zetech University and being entrusted to serve AIESEC in Mongolia is a great honour. I’m passionate about international collaboration, and this role gives me the opportunity to drive meaningful impact among young people across borders,” said John during the Conference.
During the event, John also showcased Zetech University’s commitment to developing global citizens, proudly representing the institution among hundreds of delegates from diverse cultures and disciplines.
This milestone aligns with Zetech University’s strategic focus on global engagement and leadership development, particularly through partnerships with international platforms like AIESEC. The University continues to encourage students to take part in international programmes that not only broaden their horizons but also contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
“John’s achievement is a clear reflection of the calibre of students we are nurturing. We are proud of his accomplishments and remain committed to supporting students in accessing global opportunities,” noted Prof. Alice Njuguna, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Research and Student Affairs.
As John embarks on this exciting leadership journey in Mongolia, the entire Zetech University community celebrates his success and looks forward to the positive impact he will create both abroad and at home.
