Zetech University’s Department of Hospitality and Tourism recently organised a hands-on upskilling training for its academic staff, designed to enhance their practical expertise in cake-making, pastries, and other culinary skills.
Held at the Ruiru Campus, the training equipped faculty members with industry-relevant techniques and innovative approaches that will enrich classroom delivery and boost student learning experiences. Participants engaged in interactive sessions covering modern baking methods, presentation skills, and emerging trends in the dynamic culinary sector.
Speaking during the exercise, the Head of Department, Ms. Veronica Kamau, underscored the importance of continuous professional development, noting that such initiatives ensure Zetech University graduates are well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the hospitality industry.
